Dear Iron, I hate you.

I don't mind most of my household duties. It has to be done, and you just do it. But one I truly loathe is ironing. I love cute shirts that need to be ironed, but I do not like to iron said cute clothes. This may be why I buy clothes 90% of the time that aren't always what I think is the best style, it is what I can wear that I don't have to iron.

But you know what I loathe as much as ironing. Clothes that should be ironed, that aren't. I hate seeing people in unironed clothes that are all wrinkled crazy from the dryer. I won't wear them, which comes back to why I wear t-shirts 90% of the time. I hate seeing sleeves all wrinkled crazy, shirt collars that don't lay flat. Hems rolled up all wacky.

And I am grateful for the wonderful people at Nordstrom's who make Randy's Smart Care dress shirts, that look freshly pressed when pulled from the dryer. They are worth every penny.

If you need another source for dress shirts that looked freshly pressed from the dryer, try Eddie Bauers wrinkle resistant ones. They rock!

I concur doctor, ironing is the worst. I have a bad history of buying little dresses for my princess that require mega ironing, hate it!

See...I LOVE to iron. I can't explain it, really, I think that ironing is my favorite part of sewing, too.

Tiffany absolutely hates folding clothes. She will wash them all day and all night, but folding is anathema. The way she got over this is by watching Pride and Prejudice while she folds laundry and that makes it all okay.

I love ironing, but lately it's usually the last thing on my to-do list.

No-iron shirts are indeed a blessing.

Especially since my toddler helps me with the laundry. :)

I totally hear ya! I hate ironing...but we Sorenson's will not wear un-ironed clothes.

As it is I have a huge basket of clothes waiting to be ironed right now. I keep putting if off but it doesn't seem to make it go away. I should just go get it over with...

Since everyone is voicing their loves here - We LOVE Brooks Brothers Non-Iron Dress Shirts - they are a blessing from above! They are always crisp - straight for the wash or a suitcase :) I hate ironing too; we didn't even own an ironing board until Christmas when we were given an gift card with specific instructions to get one. I am not sure if we'll use it since I also avoid clothing that requires it :)

I don't iron much either. Andrew does - part of his military background I guess. He's pretty particular about it!

I don't iron. Tim does it or I take it to the cleaners to be laundered with heavy starch. I just don't have the small motor skills to iron, by the time I get done it looks worse so I just don't do it.

I love ironing because it is the chore I can do while I watch movies. I set up the ironing board in front of the TV and the ironing is done in no time. I also hate seeing people in clothes that should be ironed but are not!

I'm in the middle when it comes to ironing, but I do try hard to get to the dryer when it is finished. I have a better chance of avoiding it altogether.

ok I don't mind ironing! Love the look, and so it just has to be done. Back in the old days, everything had to be ironed......try the sheets, pillowcases, handkerchiefs, dads old coveralls, and they were really wrinkled...........
