No matter how discouraged we feel, it is important to remember those feelings are not from our loving Heavenly Father. Feelings of failure, discouragement, and the false sense of being unworthy, unappreciated, and unloved are from the adversary himself. They bring us down. But when we remember the unreserved love of our Heavenly Father we are lifted and blessed. I need to remember this in my life. To allow my Heavenly Father to lift and bless me, and to have my heart open to it. Sometimes it is hard to remember.
Allison left this scripture for me, Doctrine and Covenants 98:1-3
2 Waiting patiently on the Lord, for your prayers have entered into the ears of the Lord of Sabaoth, and are recorded with this seal and testament—the Lord hath sworn and decreed that they shall be granted.
3 Therefore, he giveth this promise unto you, with an immutable covenant that they shall be fulfilled; and all things wherewith you have been afflicted shall work together for your good, and to my name’s glory, saith the Lord.
I didn't know how much I needed to read that. I am reminded that no matter what my prayers are heard. They do not fall on deaf ears. He hears me. He knows my heart right now. I am not alone. He gets it. And while this will pass, right now it's okay to feel like it is hard. Life isn't always easy.
And I am feeling grateful to my friends who send notes of love, call, leave fabulous blog comments, and offer to help in ways I am not even aware I need. And the prayers of my friends and family bless my sweet little family so much.
As long as I rely on Him. I remember that I can do hard thing. And this right now is a hard thing.

Funny how I seem to give the very advice that I, myself, need to hear! I should listen to myself more often....but then I would be talking to myself and that's even more pathetic than my current situation! :) Glad it helped a little. You CAN do hard things. Love you!
I'm so glad that you found some much needed comfort and love from our Father in Heaven through this scripture.
You are brave and your faith will help you to see the blessings that await you in this trial.
Much love to you!
